David and his father, George, started Stone Corner in 1969, when their combined hobbies of stone cutting and collecting minerals ‘took control’. They were importing crystals and rough stone from all over the world and as their enthusiasm grew, so did their stock. They opened their first shop in 1972, with David’s mother Valerie adding jewellery and other attractive lines to the stock. In 1975 they moved to their current location and since 1985 David has run the business with his wife Adela.
If you’re interested in minerals, crystals or fossils as display items or for a collection, polishing your own stones, birthstones, or stone gifts in too many forms to name, you’ll find it’s well worth a trip.
At www.stonecorner.co.uk you can buy jewellery making components, beads and cut stones. The online shop will soon expand to include more goods.
