A little bit more about the Hastings Handbook...It's a free monthly community magazine set up by Hastings residents, in the form of a full-colour A5-sized booklet professionally printed on high-quality gloss paper. It's independently published and supported by its advertisers, but intended to be an interesting and informative read for local people rather than just an 'ad mag'. Our aims are to:

Our print run is currently 8,000, delivering the magazine directly to 4,500 individual homes and businesses in Hastings & St Leonards and making a further 3,500 copies available from various places around town so that local people who are not in our delivery area and visitors to Hastings and St Leonards can pick them up (from the library, the information centre, train stations, supermarkets, cafes and other sites too). To make it even more accessible, all the content in the magazine (and more) is included in this website.
Because it is produced by Hastings residents for Hastings residents, shops and businesses. We are keen to promote local enterprise, talent and causes. Every month we support charities, community projects and other good causes by including free editorial features for them. We also provide a wide variety of local information including listings of services, events, clubs and societies.
Commercial advertisers pay very reasonable rates for full-colour adverts printed in the magazine (more info here) and as a bonus all current advertisers get a listing and a page of their own in our online local directory with a link to their own site if they have one. So far as advertising's concerned, we're open to considering other promotional ideas like features, sponsorship, competitions, special offers or anything else you can think of.
Entries in our What's On Guide (on the magazine and website) and our online directories of charities, clubs and societies are listed for free, subject to space restrictions and at our discretion, so please let us know about them.
Every month we give free space to good causes. If you're a charity or non-profit organisation that brings benefit to the local community then get in touch and let's discuss how we can help you.
While we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of all advertisments and other content of this website and the magazine itself, the Hastings Handbook cannot accept responsibility for any errors or false information, or the services provided by advertisers, or any consequences arising from such.
